19 Inventions You Forgot or Probably did not know were by Black Men and Women

We now live in a world where most blacks have been brainwashed and have forgotten their history. We publish this write up to remind blacks of whom they were and to re-ignite the zeal to invent and innovate which was once the dominant urge.
Today, inferiority complex is the major challenge most blacks face. We hope that by reminding you or informing you of the great exploits of times past by black men and women, we could heal the mind of every wrong thinking black men and women.
It is obfuscating at how most women go through unbelievable lengths to look like white women. You were made black for a reason and until you embrace the color of your skin, you won’t be emancipated from your self-imposed mental slavery.
It is true, there is racism in the world. But despite this reality, no right thinking black man will feel inferior to another race or be allowed to be disrespected by another race. Before race, remember it’s human and there is but just one human race.
Now, we take you through 19 incredible inventions by blacks.

Alexander Miles, an African American is credited for the invention of the automatic elevator doors. This invention was inspired by an experience “While riding in an elevator with his young daughter, Alexander Miles saw the risk associated with an elevator shaft door carelessly left ajar. This led him to draft his design for automatically opening and closing elevator doors and apply for a patent.” Although, there is a controversy about who first invented the automatic elevator doors. Blackhistory provides that John W. Meaker was awarded U.S. Patent 147,853 for the invention of the first automatic elevator door system.
Whoever the first was, the fact still remains that Alexander Miles of African descent holds a patent to this invention and he is largely credited for inventing the automatic elevator doors inspired by an experience with his daughter mentioned before.

To teach the picky patron a lesson, Crum sliced a new batch of potatoes as thin as he possibly could, and then fried them until they were hard and crunchy. According to Live Science, “In 1923, Garrett Morgan patented an electric automatic traffic signal. Morgan was the first African-American to own a car in Cleveland. He also invented the gas mask. Morgan’s design used a T-shaped pole unit with three positions. Besides “Stop” and “Go,” the system also first stopped traffic in all directions to give drivers time to stop or get through the intersection. Another benefit of Morgan’s design was that it could be produced inexpensively, thus increasing the number of signals that could be installed. Morgan sold the rights to his traffic signal to General Electric for $40,000.”
